Shah Rukh Khan was signed as the brand ambassador of Hyundai Xcent. It was launched on 12th March 2014. Hyundai Xcent was sold in markets outside India as the Hyundai Grand i10 Sedan.
Engine
The car was a sub-four meter sedan that people used to take for a spin. It offered us 1 Petrol engine and 1 CNG engine. With displacement engine of 1197cc. Xcent provided us with a max power of 65.39bhp @ 5600rpm and maximum torque 97.96nm@ 4200rpm. Hyundai Xcent had 4 cylinders and 4 valves per cylinder. With Manual transmission type with FWD drives type. Xcent had a power steering, tilted steering column, and turning radius of 4.7m. It came in 2 different colors that were Typhoon Silver and Polar White.
Dimensions
The length of this car was 3995mm, width 1660mm, height 1520mm, and the boot space available of Xcent was 407L. The seating capacity of Xcent was 5 and had 4 doors. The dimension of wheelbase was 2425mm, front tread 1479mm, and rear tread of 1439mm. the Manual Petrol variant had a mileage of 15.38 kmpl.
It had power windows present at the front, air – conditioner, heater, and adjustable steering. The interior of this car had a tachometer, electronic multi-tripmeter, fabric upholstery, and a glove department. For the exterior it only offered adjustable headlights. For safety, Hyundai made sure to provide the best of the best as Xcent had the anti-locking braking system, brake assist, central locking, power door locks, child safety locks, airbags, and passenger airbags. It also had a seat belt warning just in case one forgets to wear it.
But then the production of this carreached an end. The Hyundai India website doesn’t display Xcent anymore and the dealers confirmed it. The demand for it diminished after the new Aura was introduced.
Prices
Xcent’s Prime price started from Rs. 6.39 Lakh. The lowest price model was Hyundai Xcent Prime T Plus and the most priced model of Hyundai Xcent Prime T plus CNG priced at Rs. 7.19 Lakh. It had 2 variants-
