Safest cars in India 2021 according to NCAP Global Rating

India is a country of diversity and, so is the traffic on the roads! For a driver to utilize the vehicle to their full extent becomes impossible on Indian roads. India is known to experience as much as 26.4% of the total road accidents and fatalities that are caused around the world. NCAP or New Car Assessment Programme is the global standard for rating a car as one of the ‘top safest cars’ according to its security and safety quotient and it is being calculated, after several tests. One of the highlights of these tests is the crash test, which is carried out to measure the capability of the vehicle to endure a collision and how much damage could the structure of the car bear without causing an impact on the driver and passengers occupying mainly the front cabin.

These standards are developed every year. However, this year there is an unexpected addition to the list of the top safest cars.

In 2021, the NCAP list was released parallel to the launch of the Tata Tigor EV, embedded with exclusive Ziptron Technology, on 31 august 2021, which has been mentioned as one of the 10-safest cars that are present in India. It is the first time that an Electronic Vehicle has been added to this list and is being applauded by the laureates for Tata’s unmatched creation. more than that, Tata has four of its cars in this list of the top safest cars in India, two of them securing a place in the top three with a perfect five-star rating.
