1. Range Rover Autobiography LWB

The Range Rover Autobiography LWB, purchased by Bollywood superstar Bachchan in 2016 is worth more than ₹3 crores.

Bachchan’s Range Rover, gifted to him and customized according to taste by Jaguar Land Rover has a 4.4L, 8-cylinder, V8 diesel engine producing 335bhp at 3,000rpm and 750 Nm torque at 1,750-2,250rpm, mated to an 8-speed transmission. The car can go 0-100kmph in just 6.9 seconds and clocks a top speed of 218kmph.

2. Porsche Cayman 

The Porsche Cayman S owned by the Bachchan family is another luxury dream, affordable only to a few. The car is available with the both automatic and manual transmission, with mileage varying from 9.0 to 16.12 kmpl depending upon the variant. The Porsche Cayman is a two-seater car, with a coupe body type. The luxury car is powered by a 6.75L V12 engine, giving around 563 horsepower with an 8-speed gearbox. The maximum speed it reaches is 250 kmph and can accelerate to 100 kmph in 5.4 seconds. With a mileage of 9.8 kmpl, its price ranges around about 8.99-11 crores.

The car is also fitted with a 130 kg sound-proofing system and double-laminated glass windows to block out unnecessary road noises. It has a 4-camera system with panoramic view and all-around visibility and an alertness assistant. Therefore, currently, the Rolls Royce Phantom is available in the market in two variants – the base model of the Rolls Royce Phantom series: Series II starting at 8.99 crores and the top variant, Rolls Royce Phantom Extended Wheelbase, going up to 10.48 crores.

4. Mercedes V-Class

The Mercedes Benz V-Class has front seats with 180-degree swiveling functions, so they can rotate to face the rear seats. The rear seats are S-Class-like, with massage functions. The car also has ambient lighting, two-zone climate control, and the Mercedes’ Audio 20 infotainment system with navigation. Above all, for safety, the V-Class has six airbags, collision prevention assist, attention assist, crosswind assist, headlight assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and 360-degree cameras with blind-spot detection and lane assist.

The Mercedes V-Class is now available in five variants: Marco Polo, Marco Polo Horizon, Expression (extra-long wheelbase 7-seater), Exclusive (long wheelbase 6-seater), and Elite (long wheelbase 6-seater), the last of which has been only recently launched in India at 1.1 crores.

The Expression and Exclusive variants have 7-speed automatic gearboxes, and are powered by 2.1L BS6 diesel engines that give 163PS power and 380 Nm torque. The Elite variant comes with a 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox as standard. However, the prices that the V-Class variants come in can range from about ₹71.10 lakhs to ₹1.46 crore.
